Description
Light, with an edge just above the shoe. The quarter height reaches just over your ankle, so the shoe collar doesn't rub against your skin. The sock is thin and snug, so your shoe keeps its fit.
Extra protection at the heel. There's targeted cushioning over the ankle and Achilles, with terry loops underfoot. You notice it most on long descents and in the last kilometres, when your heel starts moving more in the shoe. Mesh on top of the foot lets heat out.
Torn between light and more cushioning? This Light Hiker is the thin version for warm weather. Walking with a heavier pack or in cooler weather, go for the midweight 1959 Hiker Quarter.
Light and protective for low shoes. Not for cold or high boots.
