Milestone: Japanese Innovation in Headlamps

Milestone is a Japanese brand specializing in the development of high-quality headlamps. The founder, Shuhei Nishioka, is the third generation of the family behind Fuji Lighting Co., Ltd., a company founded in 1920. "Fuji" refers to the iconic Japanese mountain, while "lighting" stands for illumination. Fuji Lighting started producing carbide lamps based on acetylene gas, initially used by miners, fishermen and street vendors.

The second generation of the family business expanded the possibilities of lighting and developed special tools for night fishing.
