The warmest sock in this range. Heavyweight merino with full cushioning makes it thick and soft, from toe to above the calf. You'll feel straight away that there's a solid layer between your foot and your boot.
Made for cold and mountaineering boots. In snow, on cold mornings and higher up in the mountains it keeps feet and calves warm. Especially when you stand still for a long time or climb slowly, you'll notice the difference with a thinner sock.
Tall to above the calf. The long leg prevents rubbing from tall, stiff boots and keeps your calves warm under your trousers. The cushioning absorbs pressure points on long descents.
Too thick for light hiking shoes and warm weather. Go for a boot sock like the 1908 instead.
