Jeroen Kuyper

I am Jeroen Kuyper, ultra runner and certified running and trail running trainer. I myself only started at a later age, but grew from 3 km to 200 km competitions. I use that experience to help you train smarter and more effectively. Every Saturday morning I give trail running training in the dune area of ​​North Holland to a small, friendly group of trail runners. I started with novice runners from my running group. Trail running is accessible. Put on your shoes, some comfortable clothing and you're good to go. But what about the technique, how do you apply a schedule, what else is involved, such as trail running specific (strength) exercises? Do you just follow the schedule or does it have to be adjusted during the hunt for your goal?

Alex Gijsbers

Alex Gijsbers (1965). I have been active in athletics for over 30 years. Given my body type, my trainer at the time quickly indicated that sprinting and short distances would be my thing. Of course, I followed these wise words from my trainer. In connection with my work at the time, I took my first steps as a trainer in sprint events in Switzerland and also obtained my first athletics diplomas there. Then I continued to develop as a trainer in the Netherlands with the necessary diplomas and additional training. But I also became addicted to the mountains there. The current Trails were then simply called mountain running. As a runner, I have actually done everything between sprinting and ultra running.

I've been addicted to "mountain skiing" for about 20 years! Unfortunately, trail running is no longer an option for me. A worn-out knee is the culprit.But this one did last 81,000 km.

As a trainer I am always on the move and I often wonder how things can be better or different. That is how I started Running Bootcamp about 10 years ago. This is a short series of strength training sessions that I devised to make you, as a runner, more resilient, stronger and faster. That is without attributes, but everything with our own body and the elements that we encounter along the way. I give further training to trainers and athletes in this injury-free way of running. I have run many marathons, trails and ultra trails myself, both at home and abroad.

I have been active as a running trainer for about 30 years and for the past 8 years also as a trail running trainer at various running groups and athletics clubs. Trail running trainer basic and advanced. Also as a running and fitness trainer at various (professional) sports clubs in football, rugby and hockey. I am also a personal trainer and can guide you personally or per group to achieve your goals. Whether that is for your first 10 km or 300 km ultra trail.

I am always looking to keep my runner interested in the lessons I give. I feel myself as a trainer as well as an “entertrainer”. After all, without runners there is no trainer.

Active for many years as a certified practical supervisor and trainer for the Athletics Union for level 2 and 3 courses (BLT 2 and 3) and Running Trainers Netherlands for the Trailruntrainer 1 and 2 courses. For me, giving training and clinics is really a passion and I think it's great to do. This is also my biggest hobby. In addition, I am the owner of Alex Gijsbers personal training.

I guide runners for various travel organizations on their running adventures through workshops, personal guidance and schedules. And I do this worldwide. I love this!
