Starting at Hoeve De Gastmolen in Vaals, we offer a weekend of trail fun, featuring our new night trail on Saturday evening. On Sunday, you can choose from three distances, including the Schneeberg, one of the seven summits of the Dutch Mountain Trail.
The Schneeberg, or Sneeuwberg, is a wooded hill in Germany near Aachen, north of Vaals. The Schneeberg owes its name to the chalky soil, which in summer has a remarkably light (white) color compared to the surrounding soil. The hill is part of the German section of the Bocholtz Plateau, part of the Vaalser Hügelland, and has an elevation of 257 meters above sea level.
