Salomon at Trail.nl: the complete trail kit from one brand

Salomon comes from Annecy, at the foot of the Alps, and has been designing gear for runners who head into the mountains for decades. At Trail.nl you will find the models we recommend most ourselves: trail shoes, trail vests and rain jackets that work on muddy Dutch paths and in the Alps.

Which Salomon trail shoe suits you?

  • All-round and comfortable: the Genesis 2 is our tip if you want one shoe for forest, dunes and mountains. Also available in a Wide version and with a GTX membrane.
  • Fast and light: the S/LAB Pulsar 4 for races and fast sessions on hard trails.
  • Long distances: the Ultra Glide 4 offers plenty of cushioning for ultras and long runs.
  • Road to trail: the Aero Glide 4 GRVL for gravel, cycle paths and easy forest trails.

Not sure about the fit? Also see our shoes with a wide fit or come and try them on in the store.

Trail vests that stay put

Salomon vests fit like a second skin, so nothing bounces. The Active Skin 4 is ideal for your first trails up to a half marathon. With the Adv Skin 12 you carry the mandatory kit for an ultra, with two soft flasks up front. Read more about all Salomon trail vests.

Dry and warm on the trail

The Bonatti Pro is a light, waterproof jacket that packs small enough for your vest and meets the requirements of many mountain races. Complete your kit with caps, soft flasks and merino long sleeves for cold mornings.

Frequently asked questions

Do Salomon shoes run true to size?
Most models run true to size but are slightly narrower than average. If you have wide feet, choose a Wide model or ask us for advice.

What size trail vest do I need?
Salomon vests are meant to fit snugly. Measure your chest and choose the smaller size if in doubt. In the store you can try them on with filled flasks.

Which Salomon works for Dutch trails?
For forest, dunes and mud, the Genesis 2 is a safe choice. If you mostly run on paved paths, the Aero Glide 4 GRVL is a better fit.
