Women's Running Tights

Tights that stay put, even on the steepest descent: a high waistband, flat seams and pockets that keep your gels and phone from bouncing. Choose warm long tights for cold mornings or short tights that prevent chafing between the thighs on long distances. Now that temperatures are dropping, good winter tights keep you running all season long.

Women's running tights: comfort that stays put

Tights that slide down on every descent, a waistband that digs in on the climb or a seam that starts to chafe after ten kilometres: that's the last thing you want to think about on a run. In this collection you'll find long and short running tights for women, selected for fit, warmth and practical details — from winter tights with a warm lining to short compression tights for summer.

Long or short tights: which suits your runs?

  • Long tights — keep your muscles warm in cold weather and protect your legs from branches, nettles and wind. Ideal from autumn through spring.
  • Short tights — fit snugly without shifting and prevent chafing between the thighs. Perfect for warm days, tempo sessions and long distances, on their own or under shorts.

Winter tights: warm without feeling heavy

For cold mornings, choose tights with a brushed or thermal lining, such as the Ronhill Tech Winter Tight or the Fusion Hot Long Tight. They hold in the warmth while still wicking away sweat. Often running in wind and rain? Then tights with windproof panels or hybrid running pants are a smart choice.

High waist and pockets: details that make the difference

A high waistband stays in place better and sits comfortably under a running pack or vest. Pay attention to pockets, too: tights with side pockets or a back pocket in the waistband keep your phone, keys and gels securely in place, so nothing bounces. Especially on long runs without a vest, that saves a lot of hassle.

Fit: snug, but not restrictive

Tights should fit close to the body, otherwise the fabric wrinkles and chafes. At the same time, they shouldn't dig in at your hips or waist. Fusion tights, for example, are deliberately cut tight for extra support. Torn between two sizes? Check the size chart on the product page or come and try them on in our store on the Maasstraat in Amsterdam.

Frequently asked questions

At what temperature should I switch to long tights?

Most trail runners switch to long tights at around 10 degrees, especially in wind or rain. Below 5 degrees, winter tights with a warm lining are highly recommended.

Are short tights better than shorts?

Short tights prevent chafing between the thighs better than loose shorts and give your muscles some support. If you want more freedom of movement or ventilation, 2-in-1 shorts with an inner tight are a great middle ground.

What should I wear under tights?

Many tights don't have a built-in liner, so seamless sports underwear wicks sweat better and prevents chafing.
