Description

Fast without feeling bare. The Pulsar 4 is light and responds directly when you speed up, but has enough cushioning for mountain races of a few hours. You feel the ground without every stone poking through.

Strong on dry, hard terrain. On dry rock, gravel and hardpack the outsole grips well. On wet rock, mud and grass the low lugs are less secure.

Stable on descents. The wide base and the support on the side keep your foot in place, even when you're tired. For an S/LAB shoe the toe box is roomy, so your toes have space on long descents.

Choose it for fast races on dry trails. If you often run in mud, go for a shoe with deeper lugs.

Frequently asked questions

How does the S/LAB Pulsar 4 fit?

True to length, so take your usual running shoe size. For an S/LAB shoe it has a roomy, high toe box.

What's the difference with the Pulsar 3?

The Pulsar 4 has more cushioning, a wider base and a roomier toe box. That makes it slightly heavier, but more comfortable over longer distances.

Does the shoe have a carbon plate or rock plate?

No, there's no plate. The support on the side provides stability.

Is it suitable for mud?

Less so. The lugs are low, so in mud and on wet grass it has less grip than a shoe with deeper lugs.

Demping en stabiliteit is sterk verbeterd sinds mijn oude pulsar 2 schoenen.
Ze vallen wel iets ruimer.
