A women's sock size M is a men's sock size S. That's why we use your shoe size, not the Darn Tough size, when selecting the size. You can't go wrong with that! If you already own Darn Tough socks, you can find the size on the sock itself. If it's labeled "M," it's important to know whether it was a specific women's or men's sock.

Description
A light sock that reaches just over the ankle. Thanks to the quarter height there's fabric between your ankle and the shoe collar. The sock is thin and fits snugly, so your shoe doesn't feel fuller.
Protection where low shoes rub. There's targeted cushioning over the ankle and Achilles, with soft terry loops underfoot. You notice it on long descents, when your heel moves in the shoe and the collar would otherwise start pressing. Mesh on top of the foot lets heat out.
Pick this one if a no-show is too low. Don't want to see any sock edge in low trail shoes? Then the 1986 No Show is an option. Want more cushioning for long or tough hikes, go for the 1958 Hiker Quarter.
Light and protective on warm days. Not for cold or high boots.
