Size advice Compressport

First, a bit of general advice. For socks and non-compression products: choose your normal size.

For compression products: If you're between two sizes, always choose the larger size. Don't worry! You'll still benefit from the compression. Your muscles swell during exercise, and your size should allow for a certain margin to prevent a tourniquet effect and thus restricting blood flow.

Description

A protective trail sock that keeps your foot stable on rough terrain. It has a wider toe box with soft padding around your toes and nails, and reinforced zones at the ankle. Your foot slides less, so you move more confidently over rocks and roots.

You notice the difference most on long descents and in technical terrain. When your feet get tired, the sock stays in place where an ordinary sock would twist or fold. The dots under the foot and around the ankles absorb shocks and protect against knocks.

Not sure whether to choose this sock or a thinner one? Pick this one for races and long trail runs, where protection matters more than the least possible fabric. For short, fast runs on an easy path, a lighter sock is enough.

Choose this sock if your feet have a lot to deal with and you want to prevent blisters.

Why Compressport?

After a long descent or a hard climb, you only notice afterwards what your legs and feet have been through. You want support where you need it, without having to think about it. That is exactly why we stock Compressport at Trail.NL.

Compressport makes compression clothing and accessories for runners and trail runners, from socks and calf sleeves to headbands and arm sleeves. The range is built around support, protection and temperature control during training, races and ultras.

For us, Compressport is mainly a practical choice: trusted compression socks and sleeves and handy accessories that are easy to stuff in your bag or vest. The Swiss brand has also been a familiar name at the big trail races for years.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size?

Take your usual shoe size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Is this a compression sock?

Not for your calf. The sock does give support around your arch and ankle, but it only reaches just above the ankle. If you also want calf compression, combine it with the R2 3.0 Calf Sleeves.

What is the difference with the Ultra Trail Socks V2.0?

The Ultra Trail Socks have more cushioning and a compressive X-strap around the ankle, made for ultras and long days on the trail. The Pro Racing Socks Trail are lighter and give more feel in your shoe.

What distance are these socks suitable for?

For training and races on the trail, from short runs to ultras, as long as you want a sock with protection.
