The Veluwezoom Trail is the first organized (Ultra) trail run in the Netherlands. It takes place in one of the most beautiful areas of the country, the Veluwezoom. On June 20, 2010, Jan Strijker, the event's founder, organized the first edition with 81 participants at the time, competing in a single distance: the 53-kilometer Ultra Trail. Cairn Adventures took over the event in 2017 and, with respect and in keeping with Jan Strijker's values, continued and expanded it into a true festival spread over two days (similar to our Salomon Lighthouse Trail on Ameland).
