Sturdy without feeling bulky. This boot sock has soft terry loops underfoot and in the leg, but isn't fully cushioned. That keeps it comfortable in your boot without your foot feeling stuffed.
Tall enough for hiking boots. The sock reaches mid-calf, so the shaft of your boot doesn't rub against your skin. You'll notice it most after hours of walking, when boots start pressing at the ankle and Achilles.
Made for mountain paths and multi-day trips. The merino wool helps regulate temperature and moisture, even when the weather turns along the way. On rocky paths and long descents the cushioning underfoot absorbs the worst impacts.
Looking for maximum cushioning under a heavy pack? Go for the 1908 Full Cushion. For low shoes a micro crew works better.
