Description

These pants protect and ventilate exactly where you need it. The front and back are made of stretchy softshell with a merino wool backing that blocks wind and light rain without getting clammy. Behind your knees, thinner stretch nylon lets heat escape.

They're built for high output on cold days. On a long climb at pace you notice you don't overheat, while you stay warm on a windy ridge or on the descent. The fit is close, so nothing flaps around or snags.

Storage is right at hand on the go. The secure pockets and the pass-through channel at the back hold an extra layer or your poles, so you can leave the pack at home on shorter outings. The hem zips run up to the knee, so you can pull them on and off without taking your shoes off.

Are the pants waterproof?

No. The softshell is water-repellent and blocks wind and light rain. For prolonged rain you need waterproof pants.

How do they fit?

Close-fitting. Thanks to the stretchy fabric you still have plenty of freedom of movement for climbs and descents.

Can I put them on with my shoes on?

Yes. The hems have zips up to the knee, so the pants slide easily over your shoes.

Where do I put my poles or an extra layer?

In the pass-through channel at the back of the pants. It's designed for an extra layer or poles, so you can go without a pack on shorter outings.
