Soft and smooth on mixed routes. The high, springy cushioning absorbs landings and rolls through easily, even on long runs. On asphalt it feels like a comfortable road shoe.
More grip as soon as the pavement ends. The outsole has low lugs that grip on gravel, dirt roads and dry forest paths without feeling clunky on the road. You notice it most in corners and on loose ground, where a regular road shoe starts to slip.
Snug and stable. The upper wraps your foot closely and the toe box is narrow, so you're locked in well. Despite the high stack, the shoe stays stable.
Choose it for road-to-trail routes. For mud, steep descents and rocks, a real trail shoe is better.
