Description

Glasses for days in bright mountain light. The large lens and removable side shields block sun, wind and glare from snow or rock. So you squint less when you spend hours in open terrain.

The lens adapts from almost clear to very dark. At a start in the dark or in a shaded gorge you still see enough, while on a sunny ridge or snowfield it darkens to its darkest setting. You notice it most on long mountain days that take you from forest to glacier.

Torn between these and open running glasses? Choose the Shield if you head into high mountains, onto snow or glaciers. If you mostly run in forests or hills, a lighter pair with more ventilation is nicer at high pace.

Frequently asked questions

What does Reactiv 0-4 mean?

The lens automatically adapts from category 0 (almost clear) to category 4 (very dark). One pair of glasses from dusk to bright sunlight on snow.

Can I drive with these glasses?

In bright light the lens reaches category 4. Category 4 glasses are not suitable for driving.

Can I remove the side shields?

Yes, the side shields are removable. Without them the glasses ventilate better, for example on a warm climb.

What's the difference with the Shield M?

The Shield M is a smaller model for narrower faces. This Shield is the standard size.
