Frameless glasses for sunny days. Without a rim around the lens you look freely at the ground ahead and to the side. Plenty of air flows past, so the lens fogs up less quickly on a long climb.
The Spectron HD 3 lens is a fixed sun lens in category 3. It gives sharp contrast in open terrain, along the water and in the mountains. You notice it most when you run into a technical descent in bright light and still see rocks and roots clearly.
Torn between these and the photochromic version? Choose Spectron if you mostly run in the sun. If you often run in the forest, under clouds or early in the morning, a Reactiv lens is handier because it can get lighter.
