Description
Description
The Shield in a more compact size. You get the same protection against sun, wind and glare, but in a frame that sits closer on a narrower face. That leaves less room at the sides for light to get in.
You choose between two photochromic lenses. The Reactiv 2-4 is polarised and always stays fairly dark, handy in bright light on water, snow or rock. The Reactiv High Contrast 0-4 starts almost clear, so it also works for an early start or under clouds.
Torn between the lenses? If you're mostly in the mountains or near water on sunny days, choose the polarised 2-4. If you often start in the dark or the light changes a lot, the 0-4 is the safer choice. For running hard in warm weather, open running glasses are airier.
Compact model, the same Shield protection.

Why Julbo?
Why Julbo?
You start in the dark, run through a shady forest and an hour later you're on a bare ridge in full sun. One pair of glasses that handles all of that saves a lot of hassle. That's exactly why we carry Julbo at Trail.NL.
Julbo makes sports glasses for runners, cyclists and mountain athletes. Best known are the photochromic Reactiv lenses and the light, frameless models you barely feel at high pace. For the mountains there are wider glasses with side shields.
For us, Julbo is above all a brand that knows what mountain light does to your eyes: photochromic lenses, a stable fit and more than 130 years of experience with eyewear.
