Description

One of the lightest hiking socks Darn Tough makes. It feels thin and snug, so your shoe doesn't get any fuller. Mesh panels on top of the foot let heat escape.

Cushioning only where you need it. Light cushioning underfoot carries on over the Achilles, where mid shoes often rub. You notice it most on warm climbs and long day hikes, when your feet would otherwise get clammy and hot.

The ribbed cuff stays put. The sock sits just above the shoe collar and doesn't slide down, even after a full day out. If you walk in the cold or want more cushioning underfoot, pick a midweight sock like the 1903 Hiker Micro Crew.

Light, airy and snug. Not for cold days or heavy packs.

Why Darn Tough?

After a few hundred kilometres, many socks start to wear thin at the heel. You want a sock that stays snug, doesn't slip and simply lasts. That's exactly why we carry Darn Tough at Trail.NL.

The socks are knit in Vermont, USA, from a blend of merino wool, nylon and elastane. The range goes from ultra-thin no shows for fast runs to cushioned models for long trails and hikes, all with a close fit.

For us, Darn Tough is above all a sock you can count on: comfortable, tough and backed by the brand's own lifetime guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference with the 1903 Hiker Micro Crew?

Both sit just above the ankle. The 1967 Light Hiker is lighter and thinner, with mesh venting on top of the foot. The 1903 has more cushioning and is warmer.

What is this sock made of?

43% merino wool, 54% nylon and 3% elastane, knitted in Vermont, USA.

What does Darn Tough's lifetime guarantee cover?

Darn Tough gives an unconditional lifetime guarantee on its socks. If your sock does wear through, just get in touch with us.

Does this sock slide down?

The ribbed cuff is designed to stay put. Do pick the right size, though: a sock that's too big will move around sooner.

Super sok

Zit heerlijk aan de voet, is niet te dik maar geeft toch voldoende steun. Lengte is ook perfect. Is het geld waard.
