Description

Stability without harsh correction. The P1 is Mount to Coast's stability shoe. A support rail under the midfoot and stabilisers in the forefoot guide your foot without the shoe feeling forceful.

Guided from landing to toe-off. The LightCELL midsole feels springy and the 10 mm drop makes rolling through from the heel smooth. Especially in the second half of a long run, when your form fades, you notice your stride staying more even.

Comfortable upper, narrower midfoot. The mesh upper breathes well and the tongue is fully gusseted. The midfoot fits quite snugly; if you have wide feet, try it on first.

Choose the P1 if you want extra guidance over long miles; if you want freedom, choose a neutral shoe.

Why Mount to Coast?

On a long ultra you really notice what your shoes are doing. Your feet swell, the terrain keeps changing and after hours what matters most is that everything stays the way you want it. That's exactly why we carry Mount to Coast at Trail.NL.

Mount to Coast makes shoes designed entirely for ultrarunning, for road and for trail. Its signature is the dual lacing system that lets you adjust forefoot and midfoot separately, handy when your feet swell along the way.

For us, Mount to Coast is above all a brand that truly thinks from the long distance: well thought out, comfortable and made for hours on the move.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Mount to Coast P1 a stability shoe?

Yes. A support rail under the midfoot, a firm heel counter and stabilisers in the forefoot guide you when your foot rolls inward.

What drop and cushioning does the P1 have?

37/27 mm stack and 10 mm drop, with a LightCELL midsole. It weighs about 280 grams in men's US 9.

Is the P1 suitable for trails?

No, it's made for asphalt and paved paths. The rubber outsole has shallow grooves and gives good grip on the road, even when it's wet.

How does the Mount to Coast P1 fit?

It runs true to size: take your usual running shoe size. The midfoot is fairly narrow; with wide feet, it's best to try it on.
