More volume, fewer refills. This bottle carries 750 ml, half as much again as the 500 ml version. On hot days and long rides you need to stop less often.
Made for the bike. The bottle fits standard bottle cages and has a lockable mouthpiece. Especially in the second half of a long ride you notice that you have to plan less around refill points.
Not sure? If you want to mix Drink Mix exactly as Maurten intends, pick the 500 ml bottle: one sachet is made for 500 ml of water. If you run with a trail vest, a soft flask is handier.
In short: the big bottle for long rides and hot days.
