BioCare Sport Textile Wash: Gentle Detergent for Functional Clothing

BioCare Sport Textile Wash is a mild, biodegradable detergent, specially developed for use with functional clothing. It retains the factory-applied Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment for longer and leaves no residue that affects the breathability or water-repellency of clothing. When the DWR layer has been washed away or worn and water no longer beads off the fabric, re-impregnation with OrganoTex Wash-In or Spray-On is recommended. By properly maintaining your functional clothing, they will last longer.

Instructions for use

1. Shake the bottle and make sure the detergent compartment is clean.
2. Joint 30 ml (soft water) or 40 ml (hard water) to the detergent compartment for a maximum of 3 items of clothing or 4-5 kg ​​of laundry. Usage no fabric softener!
3. Wash and dry according to the garment's care instructions.

Hand wash: Use approximately 20 ml per 10 litres of water. Let it soak for a while and then rinse thoroughly. Can also be used with cold water.

Wash-In Textile Waterproofing

Wash-In Textile Waterproofing is an impregnating agent that is easily washed into garments in the washing machine. The impregnation improves the water and dirt repellent properties of the fabric and extends the life of the garment by protecting the fibers and restoring their ability to repel water. It preserves the breathability, color and feel of the fabric because the impregnating agent binds to the fibers without forming a film on the surface. Eco-certified with OEKO-TEX Eco Passport and USDA Certified Biobased Product.

When to re-impregnate?
When water droplets no longer bead up on the outside of your rain jacket or other functional outdoor clothing, it means that the original water repellency has been washed away. This is the time to re-impregnate the clothing to restore the original technical properties.

Why re-impregnate?
After about 5 to 10 washes, depending on the quality of the impregnation and the detergent used, the water-repellent layer (Durable Water Repellent, DWR) of a garment may have worn off. This also reduces the breathability of the garment, making it feel heavy and cold, even when using membranes such as Gore-Tex®. Regular washing and impregnation improves the function and extends the lifespan of your clothes.

Applications:
Can be used on sports and outdoor clothing made of polyester, polyamide, wool, down or blends, such as waterproof rainwear, ski clothing, sportswear, softshells, hardshells, parka jackets, anoraks and hiking trousers. Also suitable for sleeping bags, horse blankets and other outdoor textiles.

Sustainability:
This product is based on the chemistry of nature, without fluorine compounds (PFC/PFAS), fossil polymers or synthetic waxes. Biobased and biodegradable according to OECD 301F.

Contents:
Water, natural fatty acids and surfactants.

How to use:

1. Wash the garment without fabric softener. Leave the clothes in the washing machine.
2. Add to the detergent compartment:
   • 1 item: 100 ml
   • 2 items: 150 ml
   • 3 items (max): 200 ml
3. Use a short wash and rinse program (follow the washing instructions). Dry it on a low temperature for best results, or let it air dry.

Manual impregnation without a washing machine:

1. Dose 200 ml per 5 L of water.
2. Make sure the garment is completely submerged and let it soak for 2 hours.
3. Rinse several times with cold water.
4. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.

Other information:
Sufficient for 5–7 items. Shelf life: 12 months after opening. Storage: Store frost-free and out of the reach of children. Recycling: Sort as plastic (rPET bottle).
