A light hiking sock with a mountain view on the leg. The micro crew reaches just above the ankle, high enough for mid hiking boots. The sock is lightweight, so your shoe doesn't feel fuller.
Cushioning where it counts. There are soft terry loops underfoot and targeted protection over the ankle and Achilles. You notice it on long descents, when the boot collar would otherwise press against your Achilles. Darn Tough knits it for lots of miles.
Pick this one if you want a light all-round hiking sock. Walking with a heavy pack or in the cold, go for a midweight sock like the 1466 Hiker Micro Crew. Mostly wearing low shoes? Then the 1991 Light Hiker Quarter is handier.
