Amacx sports nutrition for trail running and ultras

Amacx is a Dutch sports nutrition brand that focuses entirely on endurance performance. Where many brands stay general, Amacx focuses on what counts during long efforts: high carbohydrate intake, optimal absorption and minimal stomach strain.

For trail runners and ultrarunners, that's crucial.

During a trail or ultra you burn energy continuously, often at varying intensity, in heat, at altitude or on technical terrain. Your body can only absorb a limited amount of carbohydrate per hour. Amacx responds with smart formulas such as a 2:1 or 1:0.8 glucose-fructose ratio, so you can use more carbohydrates per hour without overloading your stomach.

Why Amacx suits trail and ultra

• High carbohydrate doses per hour possible
• Steady energy without big spikes
• Easy to combine with your drinking strategy
• Clean flavours that are still drinkable after 6+ hours
• Developed for long efforts, not just short races

On long trails and ultras, it's all about consistency. Not one gel, but a strategy. Amacx makes it easy to build your fuelling plan:

• Energy gels for fast, direct energy
• Drink mixes for combined hydration and carbohydrates
• Electrolytes for warm conditions or high sweat losses
• Energy bars as solid food during easier sections

For ultras it's often smart to aim for 60–90 grams of carbohydrate per hour. Amacx products are designed to make exactly that possible, without relying on extremely sweet or hard-to-digest food.
