The Schneeberg or Snow Mountain is a wooded hill on German territory near Aachen north of Vaals. The Schneeberg owes its name to the limestone soil, which gives a strikingly light (white) color in summer compared to the surrounding soils. The hill is part of the German part of the Bocholtz Plateau, of the Vaalser Hügelland and has a height of 257 meters above sea level.
