AllTrails launches new trail running features and COROS integration

AllTrails, the outdoor activities app, has introduced a range of new features that will enhance the trail running experience for users. The brand is also launching a brand-new integration with COROS, a leading brand in wearable GPS devices. Together, AllTrails and COROS make it easier to plan, navigate, and record any adventure, allowing members to spend more time enjoying the outdoors.

One of the new features is the ability to specifically search for trail running routes. Additionally, you can create your own route in the app using the platform's smart route planning features.

Thanks to the new integration between AllTrails and COROS, members can:

• Synchronize activities recorded on your COROS with AllTrails to keep a complete overview of all your adventures.

• Send any route saved via AllTrails Plus or Peak to a COROS device for hands-free, turn-by-turn navigation on the trail.

• Use the trail information verified by the AllTrails community to plan routes, and then navigate with confidence on a COROS device.

• Leave reviews and photos on AllTrails activities recorded on COROS watches and contribute to the AllTrails community with personal experiences and insights.

Trail running has experienced rapid growth in recent years. Since 2023, the number of trail running activities on AllTrails has increased by 52%., whereby the second most popular activity among Dutch users has become. Users are increasingly using the app to hit the trail abroad and use the app to find the perfect routes for their trail running adventures. The most popular destinations for Dutch users are France, Spain, Italy, the United States, and Germany.

To test the features, AllTrails partnered with local running club Bambas Sports Club to demonstrate the new capabilities in practice during a run through the Kennermerland Dunes. Bambas was founded in 2022 and has since become a fixture within the Amsterdam running community. The club meets twice a week in Vondelpark and offers both a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for recreational runners and a more intense pace for those looking to push their limits.

Noticing that trail running was becoming increasingly popular among their members, they started looking for opportunities to get out of the city as often as possible.
