Description

Light that adjusts itself. With Reactive Lighting, the Swift RL measures how much light is needed. Look at your feet and it dims. Look ahead and it gives more light, up to 1200 lumens. So you click less and your battery lasts longer.

Light on your head. The Swift RL weighs 92 grams and sits on a thin headband with a cord over the top of your head. Remove the foam pads if you want to run even lighter. That way it stays put, even on fast descents.

Everything under one button. You control white and red light with one button, and an indicator shows how much battery is left. You charge the 2250 mAh battery via USB-C, and it can be replaced. A lock stops it switching on in your bag.

Choose this one for long, demanding night runs. For short loops on lit paths, a simpler lamp usually makes more sense.

How long does the Swift RL last?

Petzl states at least 7 hours on the Standard setting. With Reactive Lighting your battery lasts longer, because the lamp gives less light when it isn't needed.

What does Reactive Lighting do?

A sensor measures the light that comes back and adjusts brightness and beam automatically. Prefer to choose yourself? Then set the lamp to Standard Lighting.

Is the Swift RL suitable for UTMB?

Yes. For races that require red light at the front, you can get a free red filter through Petzl. More information is available from Petzl.

Is the Swift RL waterproof?

It's IPX4: resistant to rain and splashing, but not for submersion. Charging via USB-C takes about 5 hours.
