Description

A Tyvek windbreaker that feels light and slightly stiff. The material blocks wind completely, keeps sand out and dries fast. Packed down, it takes up hardly any room in your pack.

Made for desert races and stage runs. Think of the cold start in the desert, a sandstorm along the way or the evening at the bivouac when the temperature drops fast. It also does its job on a windy coastal route or ridge.

You notice it most after the finish or during a stop. As soon as you stand still and cool down, the jacket keeps the wind off and holds your warmth in. The white colour also stands out in the beam of a headlamp.

Not sure? Choose this jacket for dry, windy conditions. For real rain you need a jacket with a membrane, and it has no pockets.

No. Tyvek blocks wind and sand, but it is not a rain jacket. For real rain choose a jacket with a membrane, such as the Raidlight Top Extreme MP+.

What is Tyvek?

Tyvek is a light, strong non-woven fabric made of 100% polyethylene. It blocks wind, keeps sand out and dries fast.

Are there matching pants?

Yes, the Raidlight Tyvek Bivouac Pants are made of the same material. Together they cover you completely at the bivouac or in a sandstorm.

How do I wash the jacket?

At a maximum of 30 °C, without fabric softener. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
