Description

Made for technical terrain. The MTN Racer 4 combines lots of cushioning with a secure, snug midfoot, so your foot stays in place on cambered paths and during quick changes of direction. On long descents you notice that you need to correct less.

Grip where it counts. The Vibram Megagrip outsole with deep lugs holds on wet rocks, roots, mud and loose stones. Especially when you get tired and your foot placement gets sloppier, that gives confidence.

Comfortable enough for long days. The ZipFoam midsole protects on ultras and long mountain outings, and the typical Topo toe box gives your toes room on descents. The FKT insole hardly absorbs water. If you mostly run wide paths and gravel, the Ultraventure 5 is a better choice.

Choose it if you want pace and control in the mountains.

Dit is mijn 2e paar MTN racer 4 en erg blij mee

Dit is mijn 2e paar MTN racer 4 en erg blij mee.
Het grootste voordeel voor mij is de ruime toe box waardoor mijn tenen alle ruimte hebben en ik nu bijna van al mijn zwarte nagels af ben. Ondanks de ruimte voorin de schoen is hij stevig rond de middenvoet en hiel.
Grip is voorlopig prima (zomer en vroege herfst).
Het bovenwerk is wat gevoelig; de plek waar mijn grote teennagel tegenaan komt is bij mijn eerste paar na 575km dunner aan het worden. Daarnaast komt dun duinzand makkelijk door het bovenwerk in de schoen.
De schoenen hebben minder dan mijn oude Hoka Mafate 4 maar ruim voldoende demping voor off roads.
