Description

One shoe for road and off-road. The H1 is Mount to Coast's hybrid: smooth on asphalt, and stable as soon as you turn onto a gravel or forest path. The CircleCELL midsole, made from renewable raw materials, gives plenty of cushioning for long runs.

Grip for dry, firm paths. The VersaGrip outsole covers the whole foot and has 2 mm lugs. That works well on gravel, cycle paths and dry trails, but on loose ground, mud or steep descents you'll notice the grip falls short.

A fit you adjust yourself. With the TUNEDFIT system of two laces, you adjust the forefoot and midfoot independently. The toe box is roomy and the midfoot fits a bit more snugly; if you have wide or high-volume feet, try it on first.

Choose it if you want one shoe for your daily miles on mixed surfaces.

Is the Mount to Coast H1 a road or trail shoe?

Both: it's a hybrid. It's made for asphalt, gravel and light, dry trails. For technical or muddy trails, the Mount to Coast T1 is a better fit.

How much grip does the H1 have?

The VersaGrip outsole has 2 mm lugs across the whole sole. Enough for gravel and dry paths, too little for mud or loose ground.

Which midsole and drop does the H1 have?

A CircleCELL midsole, 35/29 mm stack and 6 mm drop. It weighs about 244 grams in men's US 9.

How does the Mount to Coast H1 fit?

It runs true to size: take your usual running shoe size. The toe box is roomy and the midfoot a bit narrower; with wide feet, it's best to try it on.

Straight out of the box an incredibly comfortable shoe. Time will tell if it stretches more around the toe box but the clever 2 part lacing system is set up for a great fit. So far seems to be a great high mileage comfortable pair with the right mix of traction, stability and cushion

I am training for a trail run and this was highly touted on the internet. So I decided to go for and it has indeed been very good. The sole is quite cushiony and I do get similar amount of feedback as my saucony endorphins

Beste hybrideschoen momenteel.

Mount to coast staat bekent als het merk om grenzen in afstand te verleggen. Deze schoen gaat lang mee. Loopt heel erg fijn zoals op trails als op de weg. Perfecte schoen dus om mee te hard te lopen maar ook voor te wandelen. Fijne schoen met een aangename demping. Grip is ook erg goed. Hij doet wat een hybrideschoen moet doen. Na vele kilometers nog veel demping. Je kan voor je voorvoeten de ruimte zelf instellen door hun vetersysteem. Kan wel zeggen dat ze momenteel de beste hybrideschoen hebben. Een paar die je echt in je moet hebben in een hardloopcollectie.

Deze schoenen zitten echt heerlijk! Nu een aantal keer in gerend (langste afstand 34,5 km van Driebergen-Zeist naar Maarn en terug), en ik heb compleet geen last van mijn voeten.
