Description

The Specter 3 feels soft on landing and lively at toe-off. The shoe rolls forward naturally, so you can easily hold a faster pace without it feeling hard or stiff. The roomy forefoot gives your toes space, which is nice when your feet swell on long runs.

It's at its best on paved surfaces and runs where pace and distance go together. Think of a tempo run in the Amsterdamse Bos, a long run along the Amstel or a half or full marathon. You notice the difference in the final kilometres: the cushioning keeps protecting your legs and the shoe keeps pushing you forward as your stride gets shorter.

Not sure? Look at where and how you run. This is a road shoe, so on loose, wet or technical trails you lack grip and hold. Because of the thick cushioning you feel the ground less, and it's less direct in sharp corners than a lower shoe. Need extra support because your feet roll inward? Then choose a stability shoe.
