Description

Comfort comes first. The Olympus 7 feels soft and roomy and is mainly made for long days on the trails. The cushioning helps limit the load on your feet and legs when you're out for hours on end.

Grip gives confidence on varied terrain. On wet rocks, loose ground and rocky paths the shoe stays controlled. You notice this especially later in a long trail run, when fatigue builds and stable foot placement matters more.

Choose it for distance, not speed. The roomy fit gives your toes freedom and is pleasant when your feet swell a bit during ultras or long hikes. Looking for lots of ground feel or a fast shoe for short technical races? Then a more direct model makes more sense.

Strong for long days outdoors. Choose it when comfort, grip and room matter more than a sharp, playful ride.

What is the Olympus 7 made for?

For trail running, long days on the trail and hiking. Lots of cushioning (33 mm stack) with the Altra EGO MAX midsole and Vibram Megagrip with TractionLug lugs.

What's new on the Olympus 7?

The EGO MAX midsole is 15% lighter and 10% softer than before. Plus a softer tongue, an integrated comfort collar and molded TPU overlays.

Can I attach a gaiter?

Yes, the shoe has a GaiterTrap: a hook-and-loop tab at the heel where you attach a gaiter. Gaiters are sold separately.

How does the Olympus 7 fit?

Original FootShape fit: Altra's roomiest toe box, and zero drop. It runs slightly small, so Altra recommends going half a size up.

Fijne vering en super veel ruimte voor de tenen.

Ik gebruik deze schoenen voor wandelingen over onverharde paden. Ben op dit moment in de Harz (Duitsland) onderweg. Op de stenige bergpaden is de vering erg comfortabel. Voor alpine trajecten geef ik de voorkeur aan een hoge schoen.
