Description

Comfortable and stable on long trail days. The roomy forefoot gives your toes space, while the midfoot is held securely. That keeps your foot settled in the shoe, even after hours of running.

Grip on changing ground. The tread bites well on rocks, roots and hard-packed forest trails and sheds mud easily. You notice how secure it stays especially on long descents with tired legs.

Not sure about this shoe? Pick it for training and long trail runs in the Ardennes, the Eifel or the Alps, where the terrain keeps changing. Looking for a light race shoe for fast events? Check out the Sylan 2. If you often run in the rain or through wet heath, the GTX version is the better choice.

Arc’teryx is een Canadees merk uit Vancouver dat bekendstaat om technische outdoorkleding. Het is een premium merk: de kleding is licht, comfortabel en gemaakt om urenlang mee op pad te gaan, van lange duurlopen tot ultra’s in de bergen. Je betaalt wat meer, maar je krijgt kwaliteit die je jarenlang gebruikt.

Voor ons is Arc’teryx vooral een betrouwbare keuze voor wie serieus de bergen in gaat: goed doordacht, zorgvuldig afgewerkt en gemaakt om lang mee te gaan.

Can I use my own insole?

Yes, the insole is removable, so you can replace it with your own (orthotic) insole. Keep in mind that thickness and shape can change the volume in the shoe.

Does the Norvan LD 4 run true to size?

It runs about half a size large. Arc'teryx therefore recommends going half a size down from your usual running shoe size.

What's the difference with the Norvan LD 4 GTX?

The GTX version has a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane in the upper. It keeps your feet drier in rain and wet vegetation, but breathes less well on warm days.

Is the Norvan LD 4 good in mud?

Yes, on most muddy trails. The 4 mm lugs shed mud easily and grip well on wet ground. In deep, heavy mud a shoe with longer lugs gives more hold.
