When fatigued during an ultra, you notice this especially because you can eat and drink without having to take off your jacket every time.

Choose this cardigan if you need room for long distances, extra clothing, Nutrition and plenty of hydration. For training sessions of a few hours or races with little mandatory equipment, a smaller trail vest may feel lighter and simpler.

For long and self-sufficient trails, 12 liters makes sense; for short runs, usually not.
