Responsive trail shoe for technical trails and elevation gain

Kleur: Black/Yellow
Maat:

Description

The MTN Racer 4 is designed for active running on technical terrain. The shoe feels responsive and energetic during fast trails, steep climbs, and technical descents, while the cushioning offers sufficient protection for long days in the mountains.

Grip remains reliable when the terrain becomes wet or unstable. On muddy sections, loose stones, and slippery rocks, the sole provides plenty of confidence, making it easier to maintain pace on difficult parts. You particularly notice how much control the shoe retains when fatigue starts to set in.

Despite its sporty character, comfort remains strong over long distances. The spacious forefoot prevents pressure on the toes during descents, and the shoe absorbs moisture less quickly in wet conditions. As a result, it remains relatively light and agile during changing conditions.

If you are looking for a soft trail shoe for relaxed miles or a lot of ground feel, this is probably not the right choice. The MTN Racer 4 is built for speed and technical terrain.

This is my 2nd pair of MTN Racer 4 and I am very happy with them.

This is my 2nd pair of MTN Racer 4s and I am very happy with them.
The biggest advantage for me is the spacious toe box, giving my toes plenty of room, and I have now almost gotten rid of all my black nails. Despite the space in the front of the shoe, it is sturdy around the midfoot and heel.
Grip is fine for now (summer and early autumn).
The upper is a bit sensitive; the spot where my big toenail rubs against it is getting thinner on my first pair after 575km. Additionally, fine dune sand easily gets through the upper into the shoe.
The shoes have less cushioning than my old Hoka Mafate 4, but more than enough for off-road use.
