Rain trousers

Rain pants for trail running: running in the rain

Wet legs may seem harmless, but they cost energy and comfort. With good rain pants, you stay warmer, drier, and focused—especially during long runs or bad weather conditions.

When do you need rain pants? (prevent cooling down)

Unsure if it's necessary? For prolonged rain, cold wind, or mandatory equipment at races, rain pants are a smart choice. They prevent your body from cooling down too quickly.

Waterproof & breathable (balance is key)&

Choose a waterproof fabric with sufficient breathability. This way, you stay dry on the outside but prevent sweat from building up on the inside—important during exertion.

Lightweight & packable (always ready)

Rain pants are often ultralight and fold up small. You can easily put them in your jacket or backpack and put them on quickly when needed.

Fit & ease of use (quick to turn on, without hassle)

Zippers at the ankles make it easy to pull the trousers over your shoes. A good fit prevents flapping and ensures you can move freely.
