Description

Running long distances on uneven, scree-covered trails can be extremely challenging due to the variables that don’t exist on roads and tracks. For that reason, and at the request of many trail runners, we developed our sturdiest sock in the line: the Maximum Protection Trail Running sock. This sock uses the same anti-friction PTFE technology as the Maximum Protection Running sock, but with added trail-specific features.

Our Maximum Protection Trail Running Socks are race tested in hot, dry and very wet conditions to prevent blisters during trail marathons and ultra-long distance runs. They provide protection in extreme outdoor conditions, for long-term use to ensure the health and safety of the user. The sock has no vents, which means that dirt has no chance to irritate the foot. The 1/4 Crew shaft is double the thickness and can be folded down to provide a mini-crew option that is four layers thick. Blister-free running means faster times, greater distances and more fun. These socks are not designed for general consumer use.

Iconic ultrarunner Ellie Greenwood wore this sock when she set the WOMEN'S COURSE RECORD at the iconic WESTERN STATES 100 MILE ENDURANCE RUN, going blister-free and running an astonishing time of 16 hours, 47 minutes, and 19 seconds.
