Description

Fast and cushioned over long distances. The 055 has more cushioning and more structure than the 005, with the same pure Arnitel midsole. That helps you keep an efficient stride even in the last part of an ultra.

Stable on technical terrain. The secure fit and stable midsole give you support on steep climbs, fast descents and cambered paths. You notice it most when your legs are tired and your foot placement gets less precise.

Grip and protection. The Vibram Megagrip Elite outsole with 5 mm lugs grips on wet rock and loose ground. The knit collar wraps your ankle and keeps small stones out. At first the collar can press against your ankle bone.

Choose it for long, fast trail runs. If you want a low, direct shoe instead, look at the 002.

What's the difference with the 005?

The 055 has a higher midsole with more cushioning and more stability. The 005 is lighter and made mainly for racing.

Is the 055 suitable for training?

Yes. Norda makes it for ultras, but it also works well for long training runs on the trail.

How does the 055 fit?

Slightly small. Norda recommends half a size up; some testers chose their usual size.

Is it suitable for wide feet?

It has an anatomical toe box, but Norda doesn't class it as a wide shoe. If in doubt, come and try it on in the shop.
