This shirt feels light, smooth, and airy. The fit is close-fitting and falls just above the hip, so it pairs nicely with a racerback sports bra. The seams are flat or bonded, ensuring nothing chafes under your arms or along your sides.
It performs best in cool to mild temperatures. Think of an early morning run in the Amsterdamse Bos, an autumn trail on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, or a tempo training session where you warm up quickly. As soon as you warm up, you notice the difference: the opening in the back allows heat to escape, so you don't overheat while your arms remain protected. After a long run, you also notice that there are no chafing marks caused by seams.
If in doubt, consider the temperature and the fit. In temperatures below a few degrees, this thin fabric retains too little heat, and you will need a thicker layer. Due to the cutout in the back, your sports bra is visible, so if you want full coverage, choose a closed shirt. If you often wear a trail vest, the ventilation benefit on your back is largely lost.
In short: a light, fitted long-sleeved shirt for cool and mild days.
