Description

Intended for hard surfaces. Place these rubber caps over compatible pole tips for more grip and less hard contact with asphalt.

Especially noticeable on longer stretches of asphalt. When walking on dry, hard roads, the contact of your walking poles with the ground feels more controlled. Moisture, dirt, and wear can reduce grip.

Not intended for unpaved terrain. On gravel, soil, stones, roots, grass, snow, and other uneven surfaces, grip may actually decrease.

Choose these caps for asphalt; for trails, use the appropriate pole tip without this rubber cap.

Why LEKI?

Halfway up a long climb you only notice how much a good pole does: your arms take over part of the work and your legs last longer. That is exactly why we have LEKI at Trail.NL.

The German brand from Kirchheim/Teck makes poles for trail running, from aluminium models to light carbon race poles. With the Shark system you click your grip in and out of the strap quickly, handy when you want to eat. Most poles fold down to a packed length that fits in your trail vest, for ultras and mountain trails with plenty of elevation gain.

To us, LEKI is above all a well-thought-out choice: sturdy aluminium or light carbon poles, with a suitable model for every trail runner.

Frequently asked questions

Which poles do the caps fit?

They are made for compatible Leki pole tips. Not sure whether they fit your pole? Ask us before you order.

Can I use them on trails?

No, the caps are for asphalt and hard surfaces. On gravel, soil, stones, roots, grass or snow the grip actually decreases. On trails use the pole tip without the cap.

When will I notice the difference?

Mostly on longer stretches of asphalt: the contact feels calmer and less harsh than with the bare pole tip.
