Katadyn at Trail.nl: safe drinking water on the go

Katadyn comes from Switzerland and is one of the best-known brands in water filters. With a filter you can safely drink from streams and springs, so you need to carry less water on long outings and in the mountains.

Replacement filter

The EZ-Clean Membrane cartridge is the replacement filter for Katadyn's BeFree bottles. It removes bacteria and protozoa from the water and is easy to rinse clean. Replace the filter when the water flows through noticeably slower.

Frequently asked questions

Does it filter viruses too?
No, most light filters don't stop viruses. In Europe and North America that's usually not a problem in streams and springs. If you travel further afield, also use tablets.
