Description

Feels smooth and controlled on longer trails. The roll-through is natural, so the shoe stays pleasant on rolling paths, gravel and technical singletrack.

Gives confidence on varied surfaces. The grip stays strong on wet rocks, loose forest ground and dry trails without feeling hard or clunky on hardpacked terrain.

Especially noticeable once the kilometres start to add up. The combination of stable cushioning and a comfortable forefoot helps you keep running relaxed when your legs and feet get tired.

Looking for an all-round trail shoe for daily use and long distances? Then this one works very well. It's less suited to extremely muddy races or maximum speed.

Is the Experience Wild 3+ zero drop?

No, it has a 4 mm drop. A nice stepping stone if you're switching from a regular trail shoe to Altra.

Is the Experience Wild 3+ waterproof?

No, it has no waterproof membrane. Looking for dry feet? Check out the Experience Wild 3+ GTX.

Can I attach a gaiter?

Yes, the shoe has a GaiterTrap: a hook-and-loop tab at the heel where you attach a gaiter. Gaiters are sold separately.

How does the Experience Wild 3+ fit?

Standard FootShape fit: a roomy toe box, slightly narrower than Altra's Original fit. It runs slightly small, so Altra recommends going half a size up.

Fantastic Shoe! drop, cushion and proper shape :)

Fantastic Shoe! Went from LP9 to anTOPO because I needed drop. But! Then Naomi had me try on these and it’s the best of both worlds.. Some Cushion and drop like topo but the shape feel of the LP’s! TRY THEM!

Zeer comfortabele schoen die heel natuurlijk loopt door bijna geen drop

Zeer comfortabele schoen die heel natuurlijk loopt door bijna geen drop. Ik heb vrij brede voeten, het is fijn dat de tenen de ruimte krijgen en de schoen tegelijkertijd mooi aansluit om de voet. Heb de schoenen nog maar kort en heb er twee dagen achter elkaar op gelopen. Eerst 12km en de dag erna 25km, zonder pijntjes of knellen. Goede grip, veel ruimte in de toebox zonder dat mijn voet schuift in de schoen. Top!

Even wennen, maar fijne schoen!

Normaal gewend om op zeer weinig demping / platte schoenen te lopen, dus dan is de Altra even wennen. Maar de demping is niet te heftig, de schoen blijft stabiel. De brede toebox is super, ik heb vaak problemen met mijn grote teen die naar binnen wordt geduwd, maar hier totaal niet. Het bezoek aan de winkel van Trail.nl was super, fijn geholpen en diverse schoenen kunnen passen. Een aanrader!

Ze moeten nog voor een grote ronde dus onder voorbehoud;
Ik denk dat ik na jaren zoeken gevonden heb wat ik zocht! Fijne pasvorm, zacht en stabiel genoeg voor ultras verwacht ik.
