In juli 2019 kocht ik hier 2 paar Darn Tough hiker sokken, en toen ik bedacht dat ik voor de winter wel wat extra sokken wilde hebben, moesten dat absoluut Dan Tough sokken worden. Zo zag ik dat er nog geen review stond bij deze sokken, dus bij deze! Ik draag ze 's winters zoveel mogelijk, en zodra ze de gewassen zijn (wat niet per se na 1 dag hoeft, ze gaan nl. niet stinken) trek ik ze meteen weer aan. Ze zijn warm, kriebelen niet, en ze zijn ijzersterk - ook na 4 jaar zijn ze nog in prima staat. Je ziet dat de hak en de tenen iets slijten, maar juist die plekken zijn verstevigd (je kunt er nog lang niet doorheen kijken), dus ik verwacht dat ze zeker nog eens 4 jaar meegaan. Dat maakt ze de hoge prijs absoluut waard. Zo is sokken kado geven ook weer leuk.
