Description

Comfort for long days. The Olympus 7 Mid GTX feels soft and roomy and offers extra protection around the ankle. Especially on long hikes and multi-day trips the cushioning helps limit the load on your feet and legs.

Made for wet and technical terrain. The waterproof upper keeps rain and wet grass out better, while the grip gives confidence on mud, rocks and rocky paths. You notice this especially when you're tired, on descents and when the terrain gets slippery or uneven.

Choose it for protection and distance. The roomy fit gives your toes freedom, which is pleasant when your feet swell a bit during long days. If you mainly hike short, dry routes and want lots of ground feel, a lighter low hiking shoe makes more sense.

Strong for long, wet hikes. Less suitable when low weight and direct contact with the terrain come first.

Yes. It has a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane that keeps your feet dry and still breathes.

What is the Olympus 7 Mid GTX made for?

For hiking and multi-day trips. A mid-cut shoe with lots of cushioning (33 mm stack), the Altra EGO MAX midsole and Vibram Megagrip with TractionLug lugs.

What does zero drop mean?

Your heel and forefoot sit at the same height, just like walking barefoot. That encourages a midfoot landing. If you're used to a shoe with more drop, build up slowly so your calves and Achilles tendons can adapt.

How does the Olympus 7 Mid GTX fit?

Original FootShape fit: Altra's roomiest toe box, so your toes can spread naturally. It runs slightly small, so Altra recommends going half a size up.
