After a successful first RopaNightTrail in 2023, we are very happy to resume this concept!
During the Roparun in the Pentecost weekend we will run through the night twice on our journey from Paris to Rotterdam. These are always magical moments because running in the dark is not very common. We will not visit Rotterdam itself (we will not start from Paris either) but during this trail we will see the skyline of Rotterdam very close!
This trail is completely marked out so that you can run at your own pace and enjoy the night. Of course, you also have the option to join our RopaTrail guides and complete the tour together. We all end together on the heated terrace of café 'In Den Berkebrom' with a tasty burger and a beer or soft drink.

During this night trail you will experience an exciting contrast between the urban landscape and the dark, quiet parts of nature. The narrow paths through parks such as the Polderpark provide a challenging and adventurous course. With a good headlamp, such as a Fenix, you navigate through the varied terrain, staying alert for tree roots and other obstacles that are less visible in the dark.
The combination of city and nature, with the quiet, dark paths alternating with the city lights in the background, makes Overschie a unique and fascinating location for a night trail in Rotterdam.
Don't forget your obligatory trail cup
A trail cup is increasingly mandatory at trail runs to reduce waste and promote sustainability. By allowing participants to bring their own cup, organizers avoid the use of disposable cups and protect nature. This fits in with the self-sufficiency that comes with trail running and saves costs.
