The COROS Pace line has been known for years as the best blend of lightweight design, long battery life, and no-nonsense sports functionality. With the Pace 3, COROS took a huge step forward: dual-frequency GPS, a super-light build, excellent battery performance, and a competitive price. And now there's the Coros Pace 4.

🎁 Coros Pace 4
So now there is the COROS Pace 4 — and this is no small update. It's a clear next-generation design, one that feels more modern and technically more refined, while retaining the strengths of the Pace 3.
In this article you can read what's new, what's better, and what COROS has deliberately kept the same.
✨ The biggest innovation: the AMOLED screen
The Pace 3 used an energy-efficient MIP display, like many sports watches. Functional, but not very modern.
The Pace 4 introduces a 1.2” AMOLED display — a huge upgrade:
- much brighter and richer in contrast
- sharper readability in low light and indoor workouts
- feels premium and more modern
- more pleasant in daily use, also as a smartwatch
This is the change that instantly makes the Pace 4 a new generation.
🖱️ Touchscreen + extra controls
The Pace 4 gets a touchscreen and an extra Action button. That means:
explore routes faster
swipe through data screens more easily
activate an interval or lap immediately
intuitive operation during runs
It's still typical COROS: you don't have to use touch if you don't want to. Button controls still work perfectly.
❤️ Improved heart rate sensor
COROS has developed a new Pace 4 new generation optical heart rate sensor used. Practical advantages:
fewer spikes and drops
better measurement during interval training
more accurate in cold weather
more stable with a lot of wrist movements (trail runs)
It's a quiet but important improvement for those who seriously train on heart rate.
🛰️ Even more accurate GPS
The Pace 3 was already known for its excellent dual-frequency GPS accuracy. The Pace 4 further refines this with:
faster satellite lock
better performance in urban areas and forests
fewer deviations on technical trails
faster pace during intervals
It is not a revolution, but it is a noticeable evolution.
🔋 Battery life remains top-notch — despite AMOLED
Perhaps the greatest technical achievement:
Despite the new AMOLED screen, the battery life at least the same and in many GPS modes even better then the Pace 3.This is what COROS always excels at:
extremely efficient software
economical GPS architecture
smart energy modes
The Pace 4 therefore remains one of the most powerful batteries in its class.
🗺️ Navigation and sports profiles: further developed, unchanged
COROS doesn't change anything good here:
✔ GPX navigation
✔ breadcrumb routing
✔ warnings when deviating from the route
✔ extensive sports profiles (running, trail running, cycling, swimming, triathlon)
✔ training load, recovery advice and analyses via the COROS app
The Pace 4 adds ease of use above all, such as:
easier scrolling through routes thanks to touchscreen
additional sports profiles
voice memos for quick notes during training
💡 What remains of the Pace 3 — and that's a good thing
The Pace 3 is loved for a few things that thankfully not have disappeared:
✔ Ultralight design
The Pace 4 remains one of the lightest sports watches on the market.
✔ Simple, logical interface
COROS keeps things minimalist and fast. No unnecessary menus.
✔ Good price-quality ratio
The Pace series has always been the "performance for less" line. And it remains so.
✔ Durable construction and strong buttons
No experiments — just solid, no-nonsense.
🏁 Conclusion: the Pace 4 is not a minor update, but a real new generation
The Pace 4 is a clear upgrade in all important areas:
more modern and brighter display
better heart rate measurement
improved GPS
faster and more intuitive to use
battery performance that remains surprisingly strong
At the same time, the watch retains all the key strengths of the Pace 3.
It therefore feels like a Pace 3, but more mature, modern and future-proof.
Perfect for runners, trail runners, and multi-sport enthusiasts who want a lightweight, accurate, and easy-to-use sports watch — but now with a display that finally has the look to match its performance.
