Table of contents
Buff. Who doesn't know it? A brand that makes neck warmers. They are so well-known that our average customer calls every neck warmer a Buff. A bit like every hydration bladder has a Camelbak. But what is it? How do you wear it and which one do you need exactly?
Who or what is Buff?
BUFF® was founded by Joan Rojas, who was looking for a solution to weather protection while riding his motorcycle. In his family’s textile factory, he developed the first seamless microfiber tube. This product quickly became a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts throughout Europe. In 2002, BUFF® moved to a larger factory near Barcelona, where they continue to work on innovative and sustainable products. The family business remains true to Joan Rojas’ adventurous spirit and legacy, with quality and environmental friendliness at its core.
How do you wear a Buff?
The nice thing about the neck warmers of Buff is that they are very multifunctional. How do you wear these?
Buff Scarf, Neckwarmer, Cowl or Face Mask
We don't think you really need an explanation to wear a Buff as a neck warmer. It speaks for itself and is the original way to wear it.
Buff Hat or Beanie
You can also easily turn the Buff so that you can wear it as a hat or beanie. You can see exactly how to do that in the video below.
Buff Headband, Headband or Wristband
It is also handy as a headband in the summer or as a hairband. So that your wild hair does not get in your eyes during a fast descent. I also wear it as a wristband. But then mainly because it gets too warm on my head. Or as protection for my watch during a muddy obstacle run.
Buff Balaclava, Hoodie, Pirate of Sun Guard
Now come the slightly more advanced ways of wearing it. For example, the pirate.

Which Buff do I need?
If we look at Buff neck warmers alone, we currently have 12 different models. Which one do you wear in which season?
Buffs for the winter
In the winter we wear mostly the thicker Buffs made of merino wool or with fleece. We even have a Buff with Goretex. When it is really cold we go for the Buff Polar collection, with double fleece.
Verder heeft Buff voor in de winter twee speciale items. De Thermonet met Primaloft -vezels en de Windproof met een Goretex windstopper.
