Made for really wet conditions. The jacket keeps rain and wind out, while the fabric remains sufficiently breathable for active running. The looser fit makes it easy to wear an extra layer underneath.

Ventilation remains easily adjustable along the way. You notice this especially on longer climbs, at a brisk pace, or when rain coincides with relatively mild temperatures. The zipper and ventilation options help prevent the inside from feeling clammy quickly.

Choose this jacket for long training sessions and trail runs where you don't know how long the rain will last. The adjustable hood and closable pocket make it more practical in bad weather than a simple emergency shell. For dry days or a short, local shower, such a comprehensive rain jacket is less necessary.

For prolonged rain and wind, this is the logical choice; for maximum simplicity and minimal protection, it is not.
