Description

The Specter 3 feels soft on landing and lively on push-off. The shoe rolls forward naturally, making it easy to maintain a higher pace without feeling hard or stiff. The spacious forefoot gives your toes room, which is comfortable when your feet expand during long runs.

It performs best on paved surfaces and for runs where pace and distance go hand in hand. Think of a tempo run in the Amsterdamse Bos, a long endurance run along the Amstel, or a half or full marathon. It is precisely in the final kilometers that you notice the difference: the cushioning continues to protect your legs, and the shoe keeps propelling you forward as your stride shortens.

If in doubt, consider where and how you walk. This is a road shoe, so you will have insufficient grip and stability on loose, wet, or technical trails. Due to the thick cushioning, you feel the ground less, and it is less direct in sharp turns than a lower shoe. If you are looking for extra support because your feet pronate (roll inward), choose a stability shoe.

In short: a chunky, fast road shoe for long distances at speed.
