Woest Trailrun - Information and registration

The organization of the OVM DEO run had decided for the 41st edition, two years ago, to take the runners of the trail run by bus to Warnsveld (40 km) and somewhere between Lochem and Zutphen for the 25 km trail. For the upcoming edition in 2024, it has been decided, just like in 2023, to repeat the drop off trail run. The departure time of the bus for this year is for the 40 km at 10:00 and for the 25 km at 11:00 from football club DEO. Costs of bus transport are included in the registration fee, so there are no additional costs involved.

The paths around Borculo take you through forests such as the Hambroekbos and along the Berkel, an old river that meanders through the landscape. Along the way you pass picturesque farms, mills and historical places, which makes the route extra interesting. The surface varies from soft forest soil to sandy paths and grassland, which makes the run challenging and varied.
In spring and summer, nature comes to life here with blooming wild flowers and grazing animals in the meadows. The quiet, rural atmosphere of Borculo and the surrounding nature make it an ideal location for trail runners looking for both physical challenge and relaxation in nature.
Don't forget your obligatory trail cup
A trail cup is increasingly mandatory at trail runs to reduce waste and promote sustainability. By allowing participants to bring their own cup, organizers avoid the use of disposable cups and protect nature. This fits in with the self-sufficiency that comes with trail running and saves costs.
