Sytze Wetting Trail - Information and registration

The Sytze Wetting Trail is an adventurous trail run through the watery landscape of the Lytse and Grutte Wielen, just outside Leeuwarden. With distances of 7.9 and 19 kilometers – plus a KidsRun of 1 km – this trail is suitable for both beginners and experienced runners who are not afraid of wet feet. The course takes you over grass strips, muddy paths and narrow trails along reed beds and water features, with plenty of chance of slipping, struggling and enjoying the elements. The trail is named after Sytze Wetting, a beloved member of AV Lionitas, and exudes an atmosphere of small-scale and involvement. The start and finish are at Outdoor Centrum Copini and afterwards a warm bowl of pea soup awaits the participants – a worthy reward after a fresh, wet autumn run through the Frisian countryside.
